Aahmes Shriners Take First Place at the 2025 Livermore Rodeo Parade!

The streets of downtown Livermore came alive this June as the community gathered for one of its most anticipated annual traditions—the 2025 Livermore Rotary Rodeo Parade. And among the standout entries, the Aahmes Shrinersmade a truly unforgettable impression, proudly earning First Place in the Senior Novelty Unit category!

From the first moment to the final wave, the Aahmes entry stood out with a perfect blend of charm, coordination, and high-spirited energy. It was a powerful showcase of what can be accomplished when leadership, tradition, and community come together in unity.

Leading the way was the Aahmes Mounted Patrol, under the direction of President Tim Wilbur, whose proud horseback procession honored the Western heritage at the heart of the parade. Right behind them, the Aahmes Islanders Club, led by Noble Vic Ingalla, brought vibrant color and energy as they marched with infectious enthusiasm.

Adding that extra spark of Shriner fun was Noble Alan Anderson and his crowd-favorite Mini Lizzie, weaving through the streets with playful flair and bringing big smiles to paradegoers of all ages.

A special thanks goes to Past Potentate Mike Salazar, who expertly guided the parade vehicle with First Lady Janet at his side, ensuring a smooth and polished performance from start to finish.

And behind the scenes, none of it would have been possible without the dedicated Ladies of Aahmes Temple, whose tireless support and thoughtful planning were key to making the day a resounding success. Their efforts, carried out in the spirit of service, reminded everyone of the greater cause behind the celebration—supporting Shriners Children.

After the parade festivities, the fun continued as Noble Joseph Pritchard generously hosted an outstanding BBQ at his home. With delicious food, laughter, and warm fellowship, the gathering was the perfect way to celebrate a job well done. Thanks to Joseph’s hospitality, everyone left feeling full—in both heart and stomach.
