Each spring, the town of Oakdale, California—fondly known as the “Cowboy Capital of the World”—bursts to life with Western pride and hometown spirit as it hosts the beloved Oakdale Rodeo Parade. This long-standing tradition serves as the official kickoff to the Oakdale Saddle Club Rodeo weekend, drawing thousands of spectators and participants from across the region. Held annually on the second Saturday of April, the parade winds through the heart of Oakdale, showcasing a lively mix of floats, marching bands, rodeo queens, classic cars, and plenty of horses.
This year, the Aahmes Shriners were proud to be part of the celebration—bringing their trademark energy, community spirit, and showmanship to the streets of Oakdale in their mini cars and parade vehicles. Their presence was a crowd favorite, delivering fun, laughter, and a strong reminder of the joy that comes with giving back.
