Recently, the Aahmes Islander Shrine Club was privileged to host Illustrious Sir Mike Salazar and Lady Janet for their official visitation and reception at Bay Cities Lodge No. 337 in Richmond, California. This highly anticipated gathering drew approximately 150 attendees, including members from Ben Ali Shriners, Asiya Shriners, and Mabuhay Shriners from Manila, Philippines.
Hosted by Islander Shrine Club President Odin Madlambayan, the evening was filled with warmth and fellowship, showcasing the vibrant spirit of our fraternity. The highlight of the night was a delicious dinner that delighted the senses, featuring a succulent lechón—a whole spit-roasted pig that was a true feast for everyone present.
As attendees savored the culinary delights, the sense of camaraderie was palpable. Laughter and conversation filled the room, strengthening the bonds among Shrine members throughout Aahmes Shriners and visiting Shrine Temples (Chapters).
A significant moment of the evening was the presentation by hospital staff and representatives from Shriners Children’s Northern California. They took the opportunity to speak on behalf of our incredible medical system, sharing insights into the impactful work being done to support children in need. Their words served as a poignant reminder of the mission that unites us all—the commitment to providing care and hope for those who need it most.
Illustrious Sir Mike Salazar and Lady Janet’s visit was more than just an event; it was a celebration of our shared values and a reaffirmation of our dedication to the principles of brotherhood and service. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended and contributed to making this evening unforgettable. Here’s to the continued strength and unity of Aahmes Shriners and the Aahmes Islander Shrine Club!
